The article examines current trends and transformations in the system of training scientific and pedagogical staff for higher education in the context of a rapidly changing educational and scientific paradigm. The author analyzes modern strategies for developing human resources, identifies key systemic problems such as the gap between scientific and pedagogical training, aging staff, low attractiveness of academic careers, and insufficient resource provision. Based on the analysis, comprehensive solutions are proposed, including the integration of science and education, the implementation of flexible postgraduate study models, the development of a mentorship system, the digitalization of the pedagogical process, and the improvement of state support measures. The conclusion is drawn about the need to form a new model of a scientific and pedagogical worker as a “researcherinnovator- mentor” capable of effectively functioning in a digital environment and responding to the challenges of global competition.
