The article examines key problems in the system of training researchers, identified on the basis of an analysis of academic publications by Russian researchers and reports on the certification results of research progress at Moscow Psychological and Social University (MPSU). The study characterizes barriers arising in the process of training researchers in the scientific specialty 5.3.4 «Educational Psychology, Psychodiagnostics of Digital Educational Environments». It is substantiated that the identified barriers hinder the formation of research identity among researchers and contribute to a shift in career choices toward more financially stable and secure professional fields, thereby reducing the attractiveness of an academic career. It is shown that mitigating the risks of the identified negative trends contributes to improving the effectiveness of researcher training at MPSU. The aim of the article is to identify and substantiate conditions for improving the effectiveness of researcher training at MPSU.
