COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE AS THE CORE OF THE FORMATION OF THE LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY OF SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL STAFF

Abstract

The current problem of communicative competence, which acts as a key characteristic of the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, is considered. The analysis of existing approaches to the definition of the phenomena of «linguistic personality» and «communicative competence» is presented. It is proved that the ethical and cognitive components form the basis of the communicative competence of scientific and pedagogical staff. The role of the discipline «Higher school teacher», studied at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia as part of the retraining of personnel without teaching experience, is emphasized. It is proved that this program is aimed not only at gaining new knowledge in the field of pedagogy, psychology and rhetoric, but also for developing the skills of communicative competence of specialists. It is revealed that the high level of communicative competence of scientific and pedagogical staff ensures successful problem solving in various communication situations and becomes an indicator of a mature «linguistic personality» in the professional environment and in society as a whole.
