The article examines the key aspects of monitoring the research activities of adjuncts in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The article analyzes the regulatory framework, the subjects of the leadership of research activities, as well as the specifics of training personnel for law enforcement agencies. Special attention is paid to the role of the supervisor, as well as the prospects for its optimization. Based on the analysis of existing approaches, recommendations are proposed to improve the effectiveness of monitoring the research activities of adjuncts, taking into account modern challenges in education and science.
