Abstract

The relevance of the chosen topic is due to the need to optimize the system of scientific personnel training in the country, to study the factors influencing the motivation of young people to scientific activity. The paper analyzes a system-dynamic approach to motivation, which allows taking into account the interrelated influence of both internal factors (personal academic goals, career aspirations) and external (financial aspects, the influence of the supervisor and research group, the prestige of science in society). The main focus is on identifying and systematizing various groups of factors that influence young people's decision to enroll in graduate school and successfully complete their dissertation. In particular, the motives related to personal academic aspirations are considered: to study scientific disciplines in depth in accordance with scientific interests, the desire to realize one's own potential and contribute to the development of science. The factors related to career prospects are analyzed, including potential employment opportunities in the academic field and high-tech industries using advanced technologies and scientific developments. Financial incentives that influence motivation to continue graduate studies are considered separately. The article analyzes the factors that reduce motivation to prepare and defend a dissertation, including financial difficulties, high labor intensity and long periods of postgraduate study, as well as insufficient support from the scientific community and the educational system. In conclusion, the need for an integrated approach to the formation of motivation among young scientists is emphasized, taking into account their individual needs, characteristics and capabilities. Practical recommendations have been developed: increasing financial support for graduate students, creating favorable conditions for scientific activity, ensuring free access to necessary information resources, and introducing and developing individual counseling programs for young people seeking a scientific career.
