In 2022, the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation came into force, according to the stated federal requirements (FGT), the preparation of programs for scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in graduate school (adjunct), the conditions for their implementation, the timing of development, etc. began. The article assumes that the transition to the FGT will ultimately solve an important function of graduate school aimed at high-quality preparation of a dissertation for the search for a PhD degree. The author of the article also pays attention to some current problems of preparation and improving the quality of scientific research in graduate school.
