APPLICATION OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS IN HIGH EDUCATION

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of using generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems in the educational process. It is noted that despite the rapid spread of this practice, university administrations and state regulators have not yet developed a consolidated position and recommendations on the use of AI tools in the educational process. This is evidenced by the results of analyzing the positions of Russian and foreign universities regarding the presence of texts generated by AI systems in students' written works. However, according to the results of a survey of teachers of foreign and Russian universities, it can be concluded that the teaching community has a positive attitude towards the use of AI systems in education, which, in the authors' opinion, requires awareness of potential risks and is the basis for a more rapid development of methodological recommendations and normative regulation.
