TERMINOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE INTERSECTION OF THEMATIC AREAS OF BIOETHICS AND LIBRARY SCIENCE IN THE SOCIAL AND ETHICAL SPHERE

Abstract

The article explores a number of similar social and ethical problems that are posed both in modern foreign publications on bioethics and in library and information science. The analysis of the most frequently used keywords in five highly rated bioethics journals according to the Hirsch index for the last five years and the Google Academy is given: Nursing Ethics, Journal of Medical Ethics, The American Journal of Bioethics, BMC Medical Ethics. It is proved that based on a sample of the most frequently used keywords, it is possible to create a model of the most significant (popular) case studies within a certain discipline. Based on the presence of analogues or acceptable substitutions of these keywords in a group of 80 journals of the GRNTI thematic heading «Librarianship. Library science» the most stable ter-minological and thematic links between bioethics and library science are selected in an automatic and expert mode, and the most prominent librarians and leading organizations using the topics and terminology of bioethics are also singled out. The most highly rated article on bioethics is analyzed with a special emphasis in it on problems characteristic of library science, for example, related to the social and scientific significance of social work.
