Digital communication technologies have a significant impact on both the personality as a whole and change perceptions of physicality. This aspect makes it necessary to consider such problems as the inaccessibility and fragmentation of the holistic image of a person in the virtual space, the search for ways to represent it in an optimal form, as well as the impact of such transformations on a person's worldview. The article provides an analytical review of studies devoted to the study of changes that served as a trigger for the emergence of new forms of interaction and influenced the ways of communication, awareness of physicality, mechanisms of self-presentation and identity formation, as well as possible risks associated with rapid and radical transformations.
