This article is devoted to a systematic consideration from interdisciplinary positions of the nature, directions and prospects of digital transformations of science as a social institution and a special sphere of cognitive activity. The subject of the study is not only the patterns of science transformation, but also the processes of their cognition on an interdisciplinary basis. The central place in the meth-odology of the presented interdisciplinary research is occupied by a systematic approach, which made it possible to establish the unity of the changes taking place in the scientific field from the point of view of its organization. The activity approach has become the basis for understanding the transformation of the subject of science. The results of the study include the substantiation of the multi-vector nature of changes in science in a digital way, the establishment of patterns of evolution of the space of scientific and technical information in the context of the digital transformation of science, as well as the conceptualization of new tasks of international scientific and technical cooperation, which are determined by global digital trends. The article concludes that in modern conditions, the theoretical reflection is being updated not only on the ongoing processes of digital transformation of science, but also reflection on interdisciplinary dialogue, the purpose of which is to systematically explain changes in science and scientific activity. In addition to this, another key conclusion is the rationale for the need to extend the concept of international information security to the digital space of science.
